When it’s time to change the water (usually after 2-3 days or when you see the water getting a bit murky), re-cut stems at an angle and remove any leaves that may sit underneath the waterline when placed in a vase, as leaves in water create bacteria and shorten the life of your blooms. The removal of leaves from the stem also encourages water to go towards the flower head and keep your flowers hydrated for a longer period. For best results, display Chrysanthemums in cool shady spot. Avoid proximity to ripening fruit or positioning in direct sunlight.
