Vase Large – Criss Cut Vase with Pink Garden Roses

When it comes to changing the water (we recommend every 2-3 days), re-cut stems at an angle and remove any leaves that may sit underneath the waterline when placed in a vase as leaves in water create bacteria and shorten the life of your blooms. The removal of leaves from the stem also encourages water to go towards the flower head and keep your flowers fresh for a longer period. Add flower food every time you change the water. If you don’t have flower food, a teaspoon of white sugar does the same job. For best results, display Roses in a cool shady spot. Avoid proximity to ripening fruit or positioning in direct sunlight.

To achieve a designer look, you can also reflex the petals. Follow the steps below to achieve the look.

Step 1: Allow your roses to come to room temperature if they have been stored in a coolroom or fridge.

Step 2: Gently invert each petal, beginning from the outermost petals, placing your thumb below the petal, index and middle finger above. Gently pop the centre of the petal toward the middle of the flower. (Watch our YouTube video for this technique)

Step 3: Continue around the rose until a few layers of petals are inverted.
